"Hi-5" began in 1999 in Australia on the Nine Network as a children's television show that has gone on to air in 59 countries. "Hi-5" has spawned hit videos and 5 CDs which have won the Aria award for Best Children's album.

A new American version of "Hi-5" films on the original "Hi-5" set in Sydney, with five young and talented American performers. "Hi-5" began airing in the United States in February 2003 on The Learning Channel and Discovery Kids as part of READY SET LEARN! the commercial-free block of children's programming hosted by Paz the 5-year-old penguin including the shows ToddWorld, Adventures Of Brum, PEEP And The Big Wide World, Timothy Goes To School, Save-Ums, Animal Jam and Magic School Bus.
