Hi-5 Journal

May 28, 2004

Shaun's back!
Hi everyone!

I have returned! I am so sorry I haven't been writing in the journal more often. I really don't have any other excuse except that I have been pretty sick with a cold for the past two weeks. But now i'm back, and I have a couple of things to share with our great fans.
First of all, I want to thank all of you for coming out to our shows and giving us one of the most rewarding experiences of our careers. I can't tell you what a joy it is for us to have a smiling child come running into our arms to give us a big hug before the show. It makes all of the travelling well worth it. It also brings a smile to our faces to see your kids dancing and singing along with us out in the audience during the show. I think this will have been one of our most memorable tours because we were able to meet with you, our fans, after each show and hear how much of a positive effect Hi-5 has had on your children's lives. This, I think, is what drives everyone on our team (Helena Harris, our producer and creator, Cicc, the actors, and everyone else), to create the highest quality, and the most enriching, show possible. Thank you, again, for your support.
And, lastly, I would like to give a special thanks to Deb and our fans for putting together the most amazing photo album i've ever seen of our tour. It contains pictures and little entries of us and our fans from various shows across the country. I don't think that we could have asked for a better gift! Believe me when I say that we will cherish this gift for ever :).
Well, I am really looking forward to seeing all of you guys again soon. Please keep tracking our website for future tours and information. I have a feeling that we will be back on the road pretty soon. Keep watching the show, and let Discovery Kids know how much the show means to you guys when you get the chance. We want to keep these shows coming :). Talk to you guys soon.

Love, Shaun

ALOOOOOOOOHAAAAAA!!
Hey All! Well, as you know the tour is now over...well for now anyway. I just wanted to thank you all once again for making it such a successful one! I've said this before and I'll say it a million more because it's sooo true...YOU GUYS AND GALS ROCK! You are all so awesome and we are so thankful to have each and everyone of you as fans! And....before I forget...HOW COOL ARE THOSE ALBUMS?!?!? We were all so excited to get them! I still can't believe they're real! They are just too perfect! Thanks again for all the pictures and special notes!
One thing that was so special about this tour is that we were able to meet one on one with you guys. Your smiles touched our hearts each time and we thank you for them. And I must say that you all give AWESOME Hi-5s!! Some of them I wasn't really ready for, but they definitely made me stronger:) And the hugs! Man, where do I start! You are just all so sweet! Thanks for them too!
Anyhoo, that's pretty much it. Right now I'm back in California relaxing and hanging out with friends. I just returned from Hawaii and enjoyed some time off with my family! It's too bad they weren't able to catch the show, but hopefully we will make it to the islands of Hawaii! If you have never visited Hawaii...please do! It just gets more beautiful everytime I visit!
Alrighty, enough about that...I LOVE YOU GUYS! Much Mahalo for all your support!

Love love,
Kimee
ps...for our last show we made Ian(our tour manager) a Zipper Outfit as a going away gift. He loved it! And it was so much fun to see him in it. He wore it for the final two shows! Well, if you haven't seen a picture of it yet..here it is! Ladies and Gentlemen...Boys and Girls...presenting...HI-6!! Enjoy! Aloha!
pps...Lauren...sorry we missed you. Hope you're feeling better sweetie!

Once again, I'm sure I'm the LAST person to check-in:)
But, I've been having sooooo much fun in New York!! It's BEAUTIFUL outside and even when it's not beautiful, I think that summer thunderstorms are without a doubt the coolest things ever. My sister and I used to wait for blackouts when we were little and then run through our halls playing flashlight tag until we got too scared.

But, I digress. So, how is everyone?!! It feels weird to not see all of you guys, girls, moms, dads, sisters, brothers, grandmas, uncles, and most of all friends every day. I just had such a blast. But, I have my 'memories' book to remind of how wonderful you all are. Talk about an amazing gift -- truly one of the best I've ever received, and I do mean that. I can't believe you all organized that from so many different places around the country. Big huge thanks and cyberhug to Deb for flying up to San Jose...I hope Lauren's tummy is feeling better, we were all really worried about her.

Anyhow, it's amazing because I remember taking so many of the pictures in the book. So many faces and moments are captured in that book, and with special attention to red and yellow (my favorite colors) and butterflies!! I'm just so amazed every time I take it out to show someone. I've added everyone's pictures, decorated it with the ultra-cool packet of stickers I got, and topped it off with the key chains and butterfly coin from St. Louis (not to mention some of the other goodies, like a magnet and and ornament, which are now decorating my kitchen)...and the list goes on. Thank you so much for everything you've shared with us. I can't wait to see you all again soon...Scooby and Scrappy (the kitties) say hello!

Peace, Love,
Karla

thanks to all the HI-5 Fans
Hi everyone, Now that the tour is over I have some time to say a
huge THANK YOU to every one that made our visit to your area of the
world such a great and rewarding experience. To be away from my
loves ones for nearly three months was hard but it was made so much
easier by being with 5 incredibly warm, loving and supportive
individuals - you know I'm talking about the cast and being given
such a warm welcome by every single one of our fans.

The thing that make the show so special to me is to be sitting at
the sound desk at our shows and observing a child of about 2 years
of age totaly involved in the singing, dancing and actons. It really
makes me feel honoured to be part of a show that brings so much joy
and FUN to your childrens life.

Again I say thankyou to every single one of you for making me feel
so welcome in this great country of yours.

Chrissy (you know who you are) - keep up the fantastic work in
spreading the Hi-5 Cheer.

Cheers
Ian

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!
Wow, I am speechless. What an incredible, amazing, wonderful, unbelievable, perfect ending (or should I say beginning) to this adventure we are all on. I can't tell you all enough how much we appreciate what you have done for us throughout this entire experience. These memory albums are just gorgeous. What time and energy it must have taken to make each one personal. I have looked through mine probably a dozen times already (and that's just by myself--I have barely had time to share it with anyone yet). The pictures are just so sweet, and the messages even sweeter. They brought a tear to my eye. Oh, I just remembered that we weren't able to take pictures of them with us--dead batteries and all:( That seems to be a trend--with me too so don't worry.

Anyway, I am so excited to have gotten to know you all during this awesome tour. When we were in San Jose it hit me---we may not ever do anything this close and personal again and I felt sad. This tour was just as magical for me, if not more. Being able meet each and every one of you was such a joy. It makes this show even dearer to my heart. When we're in the studio we hope we're doing it right, but out there on stage seeing you guys dancing and singing your hearts out makes us KNOW we're doing something right. Thanks for making it so easy. You all are so special and truly no matter what happens in the future, I will never forget you. You are the driving force behind us and you always have a voice. I hope you never forget that.

I truly love you all. I will miss seeing your smiling faces every day. But don't fret, it may not be long until we see eachother again. Keep your eyes and ears open. :):) Thanks again for EVERYTHING!!!! Oh, I almost forgot, thank you thank you thank you for all of the birthday wishes. I can't believe you guys even remembered. I can't tell you how special you have made me feel. And I am so sad I didn't get a picture of the birthday sign at the last show:( Once again, dead batteries. I should make a point to carry around fresh ones at all times. :)

You guys rock!!! We love you! Have a beautiful summer and don't work too hard. If you're near a beach, jump into the ocean for me! I miss it already.

Jenn :)

ps I love the packer colors on my album--whoever picked them is a genius:) (hmmmmm, Deb?)
pps Little Lauren, I hope you feel better. We were so sad that you got sick. :( Get well soon.

I can't BELIEVE we're almost done!!
Wow. This tour has been such a wonderful experience for me.

Most people on TV go into a studio, film for a couple of months and that's the end of it. But, what a gift it has been to actually meet the people who are watching our show! Now we know what's important to all of you and what you all think is fun - and that makes us have more fun.

I've had such an amazing time seeing the country and simultaneously collecting pieces for my mini-gallery of original artwork by many of you out there:). And what's also been incredible is really getting to know and love some of the faces that we've seen at shows more than once. How cool was it to come back to California and to recognize a family who we'd met two months ago?! It kind of makes me feel like I have a home in all of you guys and girls when I'm away from home.

So, thanks for sharing a bit of yourselves with us over the past few months - I hope we've been able to do the same for you. And thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU for all the support. You all are the base, the first crew! You've been with us from the beginning and you will not be forgotten!

All my love,
Karla

Seattle, WA
Hey Guys,
I must apologize in advance. I know I've been very delinquent in posting and there's no excuse. So let me fill you in on the last couple of weeks. First off, we've been having a wonderful time! Seeing new smiling faces each day constantly brings a smile to my face. In fact, just todayI was walking by the stage area before the show and a little girl ran up to me and gave me a hug. It made me so happy and gave me something to smile about for the rest of the day. I have to say that the Pacific Northwest is one of my favorite parts of the country because it is simply so beautiful! The mountains, the amount of greenery and yes the fish market of Seattle all make me happy. I've been through this part of the country a couple of times now and each time I vow to return again. I'm already counting the days until I come back.
At the show today in Seattle there were a lot of people who made the trip down from Vancouver which was really cool. There was even a family who jumped on the ferry and made the six hour trip from Victoria. Talk about dedication! Even though we're not swinging through Canada on this tour, it felt so good to meet some of our Canadian fans. I look forward to hitting some Canadian cities in the future.
As you all know, we're finishing up the tour in San Jose this Sunday and it's hard to believe that it's almost over. We've covered so many miles, seen so many malls, eaten at wonderful and not so wonderful restaurants, and slept in so many hotels. The best part of the trip though has been seeing so many smiling fans out there. No matter what the day delivered, as soon as we arrived at a mall and saw the smiling faces we couldn't help but feel the love. I will not lie, this tour has been challenging, but meeting all of you guys and making tons of new friends across the country has made it all worth it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I know we all look forward to seeing you guys again when we come through your towns next time. Until then. . . . .

Love,
Curtis

p.s. I've gotta shout out to my man Clay, he's been hounding me to get back to this tour journal. Thanks for all the calls and support buddy!

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!
Aloha everyone!
First let me apologize for being so lame and not writing in this journal for so long. It's been crazy busy in Hi-5 land! We have a day off in Seattle today(I love this city) and so I thought I would write everyone a little note just before I head to bed.
Well, where do I start? The end of the tour is coming up and I just have to say that YOU GUYS ROCK!! Each and everyone of you! The response we have been getting from all the fans has been unbelievable. It's so nice to see that you guys are having just as much fun as we are(sometimes more!!) We love what we do and it's great to know that you are all loving it too. Each city has been amazing and I want to thank everyone for making us feel at home every place we have visited! Thanks for the flowers, the letters, the cards, the pictures, drawings, the dinner invites(I wish we could come over to everyone's house and play!)...but especially for the smiles!! There is nothing cooler than to see a little kid(or a big kid) with a huge smile on their face just because we're singing "Robot Number One!" or to see Mom,Dad,Big sis,Big Bro AND Grandma dancing to all of our songs! It's way too AWESOME!!
Anyhoo, I could go on and on about how great you all are...I think you get the idea...I THINK YOU ALL ARE TOO COOL!! And to the Canadian fans and to anyone we missed...it maybe the end of this tour...but just wait...we may be hitting a town near you. Hi-5 is rockin' out and it's all because of all of you! Yeah you. You reading this entry!! You give us the energy and you're the reason why we do this! So thanks!
I love you all and much MAHALO again!!

love love,
Kimee

Wow, it's been a long time since I have had time to write. I have so much to tell you but unfortunately this may have to be kind of short. I just took some cough medicine and I am feeling a bit groggy. Anyway, you all have been just incredible!!!!! I can't even tell you how great the shows have been. And I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed all of your presents!!!!! I have been fighting a cold/sinus infection for the past week so you're sweet gifts and beautiful smiles have been helping me feel just a little bit better. Thanks again. I will write again soon. Must go to bed now. See some of you tomorrow in Merrilville, INDIANA!!!!

Talk to you guys soon.
