Hi-5 Journal

HEY ALL!!
Hey guys!!
How's everyone doing? Hope all is well. It's Sunday the 31st here and it doesn't even feel like Halloween! I don't think they really do that over here yet, but I think it's slowly catching on. Jenn and I saw some costumes at Kmart today, but that's about it. I hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween! Wish we could all be there to Trick or Treat with you!!
Hmmm..well, not much has gone on since the last I wrote. I figured out how to hook my computer up to the Internet at the Convenience Store right across from our apartments, so that's fun:) Jenn and I went shopping today. We went hunting for some HI-5 clothes for Christmas gifts. It was a lot of fun. We also had to DRIVE today!! It was pretty interesting. For those of you who don't know, the steering wheel is on the RIGHT side of the car and you drive on the LEFT side of the road!! Jenn and I supported each other and luckily made it to the mall, then home, safely:) It was a fun little adventure!! Oh, I also wanted to correct something that I posted on the website. I said that our performance for the parade was 90-MINUTES.....I meant to say it was 90-SECONDS:) My bad, wishful thinking I suppose:) Maybe next time.
We started rehearsals for the tour on Friday. We had a read/sing through with everyone and it was so nice to sing with the gang again. We had a blast reading through the script! Our director is awesome!! Her name is Lisa and she is currently working on "The Lion King" here in Sydney. She's great and we're really looking forward to working with her. Our choreographer from the first series. Kim, is also on board to help us with the tour. She's great too and she's always fun to have around!! I don't want to give too much away as far as the show goes, but I promise you all TONS AND TONS OF HI-5 FUN!! It's a great script and we're really excited to start touring with it...can't wait!!
Hmmmm..now what else. Oh..our hair!! We all got our hair done this past Thursday. Now, I know I said I would share pics with you all...but I think I'd rather surprise everyone on Thanksgiving Day!! We're all really happy with them. Nothing too crazy...but there's a lot of color involved:)
Alrighty, well, I guess that's it for now. I hope all is well and I can't wait to hear all the great(and spooky) Halloween stories!! I want to see costumes too! I saw the pics of Little Lauren and it totally made my day...awesome job Mama Deb!!!
Okay, I'm going to head up to my room now and get some studying in before I go to bed. We have rehearsals tomorrow with the choreographer and the director...good times!
Take care and I'll talk to everyone soon!!

Love love,
Kimee

Thanks everyone!
Hi again everyone!

First of all, I have to say THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of my beautiful birthday wishes! I loved all of the wonderful emails I got on my b-day, October 6th. They really brought a smile to my face, and made me remember all of your smiling faces during our last tour. I always look back at the amazing photo album that Deb made for us with the help of all of you guys, and re-live all of our amazing memories during the tour. I'm so happy to hear that everyone is doing well, and having fun dancing and singing with us every day :).

We're really excited because we're heading back to Australia this week to rehearse for our second stage show, which should begin sometime around the new year! From what i've seen so far, the show is going to be extremely fun for us as well as you guys, with some of your favorite segments and songs. We can't wait to see you guys all out there again dancing and singing with us! Hi-5 headquarters will let everyone know the final dates and locations of the shows as soon as everything is confirmed. We hope to see everyone there :).

As everyone probably knows already, we had a wonderful time last August launching our new dvds. We finally got a chance to see some of our wonderful Canadian fans around the Toronto area...hi guys! Wow, those were some great shows! Is everyone enjoying their dvds? I know I had lots of fun showing my family and friends.

During July, I also had fun performing as Blake in a new musical out in Los Angeles called Funny Business. Did any of you get to see that show? While I was in LA, I also had a chance to go surfing at the beach! That was so much fun, but it was very difficult :).

Well, I hope everyone is well, and still having fun dancing and singing with us. I look forward to seeing you all again during our next tour. Look for my messages that i will be posting on the yahoo web page. I'll be talking to you soon.

love, your shapes in space guy, Shaun

Happy October!!
Yay for fall! Oh my goodness, what an amazingly beautiful day it was in New York. I'm someone whe normally FREEZES and even I couldn't deny how good it felt to have a bit of a crispy coolness in the air:).

Anyhow, WUZ UP?! I'm getting super excited to go back to Australia to get ready to see you all on the road again. AND, of course, I can't overlook The Thanksgiving Day Parade!! That should be wonderful - and I really can't help but think that our being chosen has a lot to do with the incredible fan support that has developed on the internet. Oh, and I also heard that the Halloween stickers should be coming through. You know, with all the energy surrounding our currently campaigning candidates (P.S. is everyone registered to vote? Today's it I think, at least in NY...the kindergarden contingency is gravely underrepresented - just kidding!). But, anyhow, sometimes I feel like we're launching our own Hi-5 campaign. So, yay for us - well, you all, anyway. Thank you so much, I really can't say it enough.

For those of you who asked, Scooby and Scrappy are doing very well, except that Scrappy has trouble retracting her claws so sometimes she gets stuck in things like blankets and curtains (it's secretly really cute).

Well, I'm signing off because bed is calling, but thanks again - hi-5's all around!

love and giggles,
Karla

The Rumors are True!
Hey all...Kimee here!
How is everyone? Happy October by the way!! Is it starting to feel like fall in your town yet? It's chilly in San Francisco, but it always is...so I can't tell if it's the change of the seasons or not:)
Anyhoo, I see a lot of people are wondering about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Well, YEEEES we'll be HI-5ing you down the streets of NYC on Turkey Day!! Isn't that exciting?!?! We all just got the email today confirming the appearance. I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun and I'm just so stoked that they asked us to do it! I had done the parade before with "Mamma Mia!" in 2001, but we performed in front of the department store. I've never been on a parade float before! How cool is that? We'll be on the "Dixie" Brand float, and we're told that we'll "have great positioning as they are one of the sponsers." SWEET!!
Well, look out for us in the parade! And we'll be Hi-5ing y'all soon during our tour! We are right now scheduled to leave for Australia later this month.
That's it for now...I hope everyone is well and I'll talk to you all soon!!

Love love,
Kimee
